Overview

This is designed for:

• Design and Production Managers training for conversion of data.
• Introductory designers looking for assistance in converting to Structure with Integrated Truss Design.

What is the focus of this training?

• This course will walk through the steps to convert the design settings from 20/20 Engineering to MiTek Structure with Integrated Truss Design. After using the conversion tool to update schemes, you will also learn which settings to check for roof truss designs as well as floor containers for floor truss designs. 

What will I learn in the MiTek Learning Channel courses?

• You will be introduced to many of the day-to-day job properties that will be used while working in Structure with Integrated Truss design.
• If you are new to Structure with Truss design, these courses will help you get familiar with the basic truss design tools and features within the program.

Step 1 – Register to convert to Structure with Integrated Truss Design

Step 2 – Request a MiTek Learning Channel (MLC) Login

The MLC is MiTek’s online, self-paced learning portal. Use the steps below to request a login:

1. Go to MiTek’s LMS Hub page (https://www.miteklearningchannel.com ) and click the link to request a login.
    
2. A Google form displays. Enter the following information:
   • Whether or not you are currently working for a MiTek customer.
   • First Name.
   • Last Name.
   • Email Address.
   • Company Name.
   • MiTek Customer Account Number. 
     • Your MiTek customer account number is required for MLC account registration. 
     • Please consult the design manager at your location if you are unsure of your account number.
   • Software Edition (US, Canada, Supply, etc.).
   • Acknowledge the MiTek Privacy Policy.

      3. After completing the form, your information is submitted to MiTek’s eLearning team. When your registration information is confirmed, you will receive an MLC login (usually within 24 hours).

Step 3 – Conversion Courses (Design Managers or Design Leads)

Use the following steps to register for the Conversion courses:

1. Login to the MLC. 
2. Click the “Join Group” button in the right-hand pane.
    
3. Enter the code, sesetup.  This applies to Design Managers Only.  All other users proceed to the conversion1 step.
   • Click the “Join group” button.
            
4. The sesetup course displays on your dashboard for Design Manager usage.

Step 4 – Conversion Courses (Designers)

Use the following steps to register for the conversion courses:

1. Log in to the MLC. 
2. Click the “Join Group” button in the right-hand pane.
    
3. Enter the code, conversion1.
   • Click the “Join group” button.
            
4. The conversion1 courses display on your dashboard. There are four of them:

   • USDTSF410 - Floor Truss Design Workshop
   • USDTSR410 - Roof Truss Design Workshop
